Back up camera problem. If I add nitrogen works fine for a few minutes then returns to fussy??? Sounds like a lead in a seal. 93 U225. May be cheaper and easier to just replace complete system, add side cameras. Your thoughts? Thanks Jeff Savournin
We do not repair those cameras and they are no longer available. You would have to update in some way.

I have an old 1987 Gran Villa (I love it runs great, looks good still). It is a 38 foot with a 3208 300hp CAT and an Oshkosh frame (ORED). My question is I know the coach has auto slack adjusters on the front brakes, those I can see, but I'm not sure of the rear brakes and was wondering if you might know. Thank you, Herb
Looking at a old parts break down the rear brakes do not have slack adjusters.
I just purchased this 98 foretravel and it has all new brakes.I think It takes a lot of peddle pressure to stop. Is it possible to add air assisted power brakes to the existing system ? Thanks for your help.Paul g
A 98 Foretravel came with air brakes. We do not make recommendations on anything other than what came as OEM.
My ABS light is on; do I still have air disc braking?
Yes, when the ABS light on the dash is illuminated, the vehicle has all regular braking capabilities. Only the anti brake skid feature is not operational. If your light stays on, contact a qualified service professional for repair as soon as possible. Note: While ABS cannot prevent all skids, it does prevent the wheels from locking in typical panic situations. ABS cannot, however, change the laws of physics. A combination of excessive speed, sharp turns and slamming brakes can still throw an ABS-equipped vehicle into a sideways skid.

I am looking at Foretravels in the 1992 to 1994 age range and am confused about all the different engin eoptions. Is there a source that rates the engines against each other? Or, does Foretravel have a sheet that explains the models? Thank you.
The different engines were normally of horse power increase for the Unihomes. If on an Oshkosh chassis I could not tell you about the engines we only bought the chassis and installed the box. You might contact the sales department for a spec sheet. 936-564-8367 ext 215
I have a 1990 OREG with 460 engine and would like to replace it with a diesel engine, what engine and transmission does Foretravel recommend?
Foretravel as the manufacture does not modify or alter from the original configuration of the chassis. Therefore Foretravel does not recommend altering the configuration of this coach.
I have a 99 model 270 that starts fine but shuts down after a minute. Starts again and may shut down again or run fine. Always runs on the third time and goes forever. Diesel mech wants to take out the tank and run the fuel line test. He says it is sucking air on start up. Help
Air could create the issue you are speaking of. I would check the coolant level in the main radiator tank if the unit has an coolant level sensor, low coolant could cause the same issue.
What is the normal operating temperature range for the engine and transmission?
The engine will operate at the temperature of the thermostats installed by the engine manufacturer. The transmission will normally operate parallel with engine temperatures, only to exceed this during extended retarder activation or heavy towing applications.
I have an old 1999 u270 the fuel gauge reads half full when filled up. Do I have to pull the tank to access the sending unit? All related info will be appreciated.
No you do not have to pull the fuel tank. Remove the cover at the passenger side of the fuel tank and the sender will be visible at that point.
I have recently purchased a 1991 Grand Villa vin 1F96D3368MN054318 which is in excellent condition but it does have give an uncomfortable pitching up and down ride which I think might indicate unserviceable front shock absorbers. Additionally, even though all steering mechanisms appear tight, the Coach wanders a little too much at 55mph. Tyres are inflated to 95psi and are about 50% worn. We are currently at Gallup NM and would appreciate your comments and perhaps your recommended shock absorber make and part number. Regards. Ian Thompson.
The U240 is on a torsalitic suspension. The ride height could be off. The shocks could be bad, need to check and see if any oil or residue is coming from them. You will need to call our parts department for the shocks, the information I have available does not go back to the 91 vintage. 800-955-6226 ext. 154,161,172 or 173.
I just purchased a 1986 Grand Villa and the fuel gauge doesn't work. I checked the gauge and it appears there is nothing wrong with it. What else can be wrong and if it's the sending unit can I get it out without dropping the tank. Thank You in advance Dennis Mitchell
Sounds as if the sending unit has gone bad. To access the sending unit you will have to drop the tank.
I own a 1994 Foretravel Special Edition I purchased last year. I was intending to use a Versahaul Motorcycle Carrier (78 Lbs), inserted inthe 2" square hitch, to haul a 467 Lbs Yamaha Scooter. The information book tells me the hitches maximum tongue weight is 350 Lbs. This is the equivalent of a class II Hitch. Can you tell me what the restriction is limiting the hitch to 350 LBs? Is there a modification that will raise the limit to 600 Lbs (Class III)? I see that the hitch is actually part of the RV Tubular Steel Frame, which is why I am surprized the weight is limited to 350 Lbs. The link to the Versahaul Motorcycle Carrier is: http://www.discountramps.com/hd-motorcycle-carrier.htm Thank you in advance for reviewing my question! Dale Blankley
We do not have a modification for the hitch assy. You could add gussets to the frame and tube assy. to get the higher rating. Looks like you could add four gussets and accomplish what you are looking for.

I have a 1995 Foretravel U320C-SE, Tenn Cert # 19149, RVIA # 5506558 that was involved in fire along the front. Is it possible that you have the VIN number and information regarding that RV? and would you please email me the information.
We do not have info that contains those numbers. The VIN. is stamped in the frame rail at the drivers front tire area.
My 1990 U280 loses air pressure when not connected to an electrical source. It goes from about 110 to 30 lbs of pressure within 24 hrs. I either have to run the engine or connect to a power source. Is this normal?
I've attached a copy of the allowable leakdown rates shown in the Foretravel Owner's Manual. An 80 psi drop over 24 hour period is not anything to be concerned about. "Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) standard for allowable leakdown in air systems is as follows: 1. 4 P.S.I. drop in the front air system in a 2 minute time period. 2. 4 P.S.I. drop in the rear air system in a 2 minute time period. This translates into 120 P.S.I. drop in a one hour time period. In other words, both needles would be allowed to go to zero P.S.I. in one hour. All control valves, relay valves, check valves, etc. have allowable leak rates, even for new components. It is not within the scope of Foretravel, Inc., or any manufacturer, to completely eliminate air leaks. This is why D.O.T. sets the standard for allowable leakdown rules in the interest of safety. However, Foretravel, Inc.'s leakdown rate is set as follows: Foretravel, Inc. Allowable Leakdown 1. 6 P.S.I. in the front air system in a one hour time period. 2. 6 P.S.I. in the rear air system in a one hour time period. This translate into an approximate 60 P.S.I., allowable leakdown rate, for each air system, in an overnight park mode (10 hours). This is an extremely small air leak. The Foretravel, Inc. standard is 20 times more stringent than the D.O.T. required safety standards, which allow 120 P.S.I. per hour."

What is the proper tire inflation for my coach?
All tire manufacturer’s have a recommended tire pressure based on the amount of weight the tire will be carrying. Foretravel recommends that you take your fully loaded coach to a truck scale and have it weighed. After getting proper weights, refer to the tire inflation chart in your owner’s manual for the recommended tire pressure. If this information is not in your owner’s manual for your specific brand of tire, pressure charts can be obtained from most local tire retail outlets.

1986 Grand Villa 3208 Cat Vin# 10T9M9A31G1027281 Shifter lever is very hard to move from one range into another. Understand from previous owner that he had a new cable installed but it just seems to be bound up somewhere. Dennis
Disconnect linkage from transmission and check operation. If stiff disconnect from shift lever and check operation. If operation is ok then the cable is in a bind. You will have to check cable routing.
Can I check my transmission fluid level from the cockpit?
Yes, most later model Allison transmissions are equipped with the electronic oil level sensor and most can only display one character at a time. Park the vehicle on a level surface, shift to N (Neutral), apply the parking brake. Next, simultaneously press the “UP” and “Down” arrow buttons on the push button shift selector. The display will read out a series of letters or numbers to indicate your oil level. For detailed instructions on your specific transmission see your Allison Transmission’s Owner’s Manual.
When should I use the Retarder?
Your retarder can be used in mountainous terrain and normal road conditions. Please be aware of vehicles behind you as your brake lights will illuminate each time the retarder is activated. Do not use the retarder on wet or icy road conditions. De-energize the retarder at the master control switch during these conditions.

Have a 92 U300 with detroit 6v92. Has been sitting for 6 months. Motor starts but check engine light comes on in four seconds and auto shutdown occurs in 30 seconds later. Will start right up but repeats in 36 seconds. Oil level is good - Water topped off in radiator - Oil never reaches high temp. Fuel filter is new and no water comes out of drain. Large air filer is clean and coach still shuts down even if is removed. Where do I begin. When motor runs it seems fine and sounds great.
When the engine goes into shutdown it is usually one of three things in relation to what the engine computer is receiving from it’s various sensors. 1) High Temperature, 2) Low Oil Pressure or, 3) Low Coolant level. If all checks appear normal appear normal it may be that you will have to get a local Detroit mechanic to the coach or have towed to a shop to hook up a reader to the engine and determine cause.

Auxiliary air pump with Active Air I was on a not real level spot in Vicksburg Saturday night - leveled the coach though. In about an hour The pump came on and continued to run and the pop off valve started going off every few seconds. Went out and pulled the fuse and the pump kept running. Went in on the HWH board and hit the off button and it stopped running. Re leveled the coach, waited 30 minutes or so and the pop off started going off again and so I hit the stop button and spent the night that way. What do we need to do to fix this. It was a little concerning to pull the fuse and the pump keep running, but maybe that's how it's suppose to work. Need your help. Thanks
The unit was trying to raise the coach and it could not raise any farther. It was going into excess slope. The computer was sending power to the compressor that's why the fuse did not shut it off. You did the right thing by hitting stop on the Active Air panel.
How do I turn off the excess slope light on the HWH® level pad?
The excess slope light may be turned off by pressing the emergency stop button on the HWH® Leveling system touch pad, releasing the park brake, and moving the coach to a more suitable location and re-level coach as needed.
My wife and I are considering purchasing a classic 1977 Avco 29 foot motorhome. It's in excellent condition and we were surprised to find leveling jack controls, but looking under the chassis didn't reveal any jacks that I could find - nothing mounted to the chassis and nothing on the suspension either. What should I be looking for? As a side note, where can I find owner/operator and maintenance manuals for it? Thanks, Les Berg
The unit you are speaking of Foretravel did not build and we do not have any information on. You might look on the internet for information.
The level system light in my dash panel is on, and my coach will not go into gear.
If the shift indicator panel flashes when the selector button is depressed, this is an indication that there is a problem with one of the slide rooms. Either a safety switch has not been satisfied or the room retract button was not held long enough. Foretravel recommends to turn the room key(s) on & follow the proper room extend/retract procedures, extending all rooms one at a time completely until the red light on the room panel for each room goes off. Retract all rooms one at a time, holding the retract switch until the red lights go out. (If the red lights do not go out within 10 seconds of a room being fully retracted, contact Foretravel Technical Services for further instructions). Turn off the room keys and restart coach to see if level system light is off.
What should I check for if the slide out does not operate?
Check to see if the air seal has deflated, check for 12vdc power to the room computers, or check to see if the excess slope light is not on. These are simple checks; if all checks ok and rooms still do not operate call Foretravel Technical Services for further instruction.

I have a 2003 U295. Need to replace the water line for the ice maker in my Dometic refrigerator. Dometic has supplied documents and parts, however the removal of the unit is necessary. Question is I can see only two lag bolts in the base from the outside access door that seem to be holding the unit in place. Is that correct or are there more fasteners used? If so, please tell me where to look. Thank you
At the door side of the refrigerator there will be some screws to remove. Open the doors and look at the frame work and if the unit has some plastic plugs on the vertical part of the frame then remove and remove the screws. If not there then up top possible under the control switch cover there could be some screws and under the cover at the bottom. Just depends on style of refrigerator.

We have a 2000 U295. Our thermostat does not have a furnace mode on Position # 1. Position #2 works fine. Therefore, we are unable to activate the furnace in the living area of the coach.
The front roof air will not know it has a furnace unless has been selected. For the system to know that Zone 1 has a furnace there are a set of dip switches loacted on the front Roof Air circuit board. The circuit board is accessed by removing the cover on the roof and then accessing the circuit board which is inside the unit. Also, make sure that the compartment doors below the furnace are closed well, the furnaces will not run if the compartment doors are open or not latched properly.

It seem like I cannot get the air out of my water system. The pump looks new.My unit is a '89. Do you have any suggestions? any help is appreciated. Thanks ,paul
Check accumulator tank.
What can I check if the water pump does not work?
If the pump switch light is not on, check the water pump fuse or circuit breaker. If the switch light is on, check the connections directly at the water pump for 12vdc (+) and (-). If both (+) and (-) are present at the pump connections, have the water pump replaced by qualified personnel. If you do not have both (+) and (-) at the water pump, locate the controller (latching relay), check for 12vdc (+) output to pump. If the controller does not have 12vdc (+) output to pump have the controller replaced by qualified personnel.

Compressor tries to come on but immediately goes off. Will repeat cycle of trying to come on and immediately trip out. Worked fine as of 3 weeks ago. Front unit operates as designed. Suggestions???
I would tend to think it could be a start capacitor or the compressor itself. You may need to get it into an authorized Duo-Therm (Dometic) dealer.
Can you run the generator with the coach plugged to shore power?
It is not recommended to run the generator while shore power is available.
I have no 110 VAC to the outlets in the kitchen and front area of the coach.
Sometimes small appliances such as hair dryers and coffee makers will trip the GFCI breaker which is located in bathroom of all Foretravel coaches. Simply press the rest button and recheck outlets.
Is my coach equipped with a voltage surge protector?
Foretravel coaches prior to 2003 year model were not factory equipped with a voltage surge protector. All 2003 model and later motorcoaches are equipped with a voltage surge and over and under voltage protector for shoreline power.

How can the driver side seat work perfectly but the passenger side seat has no functions at all? We have a 40 2006 nimbus quad slide.
The driver and passenger seat are on separate breakers (12VDC) located passenger side dash area. Check for voltage at breaker #48 on the panel. If breaker has no voltage on the load side then you have a short from seat to the breaker. The seat could be unplugged also.
How does my alternator work on my Foretravel?
Foretravel Alternator Foretravel Motorcoaches use a Leece-Neville brand alternator that is externally excited. These alternators are not the same as what the big semi rigs use that run up and down the nation’s highways. This is commonly confused in truck repair shops. Foretravel motorcoaches and a lot of other brands use what is known in the industry as a battery isolator, this allows the alternator to maintain two battery banks at a set voltage. You also have to excite the alternator externally. Meaning that when the engine is not running there is no voltage present on the large positive outpost terminal. The alternator has two large terminals one positive and one negative on the back side of it along with two small terminals. The two small terminals tell the voltage regulator what to do. One terminal is labeled DUVAC and the second is labeled IGN. The DUVAC terminal is what monitors the output voltage, the sense wire is located on the engine battery side of the isolator (2000 year model FT’s and later models, earlier models sensed from the remote start panel). The ignition terminal is what tells the alternator to start charging. The ignition circuit is powered up when the key is turned on. When checking voltage directly at the alternator it will read higher than what is at the batteries, this has to happen due to voltage drop through the isolator and wiring to the batteries. Example; when reading output voltage at the alternator with fully charged batteries your readings could be 15 volts dc (+/-) thus allowing for a normal 1volt dc drop in voltage through the isolator, this in turn will allow for a maximum voltage at the batteries to be 14.1 vdc (batteries). The only way ignition terminal voltage will affect charge output voltage would be if no voltage present, it takes minimal voltage to start the alternator charging (7-7.5 vdc). I have 2 Finder breakers located in the bay breaker box. The switches seem to have something to do with the water pump. They have a little window with a red indicator. My problem is....the switches have a small push button that flicks a small red indicator either up or down. As there is no other off/on indicator are the swithches "on" when the indicator is up and in full view or are they "off" in that postion? Inaddition, what do each of them control?
These are called latching relays and one is for the water pump and one for the water tank fill valve. They each have the local switch on them in addition to the other switches for the pump and tank fill. When the red indicator is in the window it should mean the switch is engaged and the indicator light for the corresponding switches should be on as well.
I have a 1990 U280 and would like to know what the red light above the high beam red light means on the dash? It only comes on when the engine is running. The manual describes every control and indicator on the dash expect that one. Thank you.
The light shoud be for the leveling system to warn you that you are not in the travel position.
I have a 99/320 and when I turn the ignition key on I get no power to my dash gauges, what should I do?
Check for 12vdc power at the ignition solenoid located at the dash panel located in front of the passanger seat. You should have battery voltage on one side of the solenoid, when you turn the key on the solenoid should close and power up the dash gauges and ignition components.
I have no 12vdc power in my coach. Items like the dash monitor, dash radio; over head 12vdc lights are not on but were working fine earlier. What do I check?
Check to make sure the main power disconnect switch located just inside the entry door step well or on the dash panel directly in front of the co-pilot seat, is on. Many times it can be bumped while exiting the coach and not be noticed.

How does the converter/inverter work?
The generator or shore power supplies the converter with 110 Volts AC, and the converter makes 12 Volts DC to recharge the batteries. The inverter will take 12 Volts DC from the house batteries to invert to 110 Volts AC in order to operate selected appliances and outlets.
My dash voltage gauge is reading below normal while traveling. What can I do?
Start you generator and activate your boost switch. This will allow the house charger to keep the batteries from discharging while traveling until you can safely contact a local repair facility for testing of the alternator charging circuit.

I have a 1999 U295. The fluorescent lights in all three cargo bays do not light up. It acts like a fuse had blown but all fuses in the fuse box at the foot of the bed are okay. The lights appear to be on the same fuse as the hot water heater and that works fine. Any suggestions?
The circuit breaker is located in the storage bay driver side in front of the utility bay. You will remove a panel that has three nuts on it. The breaker is a manual reset, on the end of the breaker there is a small reset button that will need to be reset. Look at drawing B-2126 and you can see the breaker for the storage lights.
Can I plug the coach into a 20 amp 110VAC wall receptacle?
This is not recommended due to the loads the electronics in the coach operate on in normal conditions. In most cases a 20 amp service will only operate the house battery charger and virtually nothing else.

NOTHING IN THE FRONT OF OUR 1985 FORETRAVEL WORKS.. LIKE THE FANS,GAGES,TV, AND LEVELING JACKS. WE CAN NOT FIND THE FUSE BOX FOR THIS COULD U PLEASE HELP?? THANKS
The fuse box is behind the dash gauges. The dash hood is on hinges and will flip up.
What is the voltage gauge on my dash for?
The voltage gauge in the dash monitors the voltage of your chassis batteries. It will also show you if you alternator is charging properly. Normal ranges for this gauge while traveling should be between 13.5 to 14.2 volts. If you find it reading higher than this, the alternator is not regulating voltage properly. If voltages are lower, there may be a problem with the alternator itself. If you find voltage readings are out of the proper ranges while traveling, contact the nearest Foretravel Authorized Service Facility for repairs.
Where are the engine/transmission diagnostic connections?
Diagnostic plugs are located under the dash panel to the left of the steering column.
Will the chassis alternator charge the house batteries?
The engine alternator will maintain both chassis and house batteries through the battery isolator system. It is recommended before taking a trip or putting coach into storage to make sure to either connect the shoreline or run the generator until all batteries are fully charged with the house charger. Do not expect the alternator to recharge dead batteries completely. Damage can occur to the alternator when running for an extended period of time with low or dead batteries.
Will the engine batteries charge when I have the coach plugged into shore power?
Engine (chassis) batteries will not charge when the coach is plugged into shore power; however, they may be charged by simply turning the boost switch to the locked position (light on). This switch should be used as maintenance of the engine (chassis) batteries in a controlled environment.

Can you please tell me what diesel engine was standard in the 1981 Foretravel diesel pusher? Can you also tell me what was the maximum length of that year's diesel model? Thank you, Pat McHugh
Most coaches were equipped with Caterpillar Diesel engines. Forty foot was the longest coach built that year. If you have a VIN we can identify.
Dear Sir: We have a 2008 nimbus, still in warrenty. The coach batterys go dead setting overnight without anything on. We can not park it outside to prepare for a trip because of this. If I turn off the inverter, as well as everything else the batterys are still dead in 12 hours. I asked the dealer to check this at my last visit but for whatever reason this was not done. Since it is three hundred miles to the dealer would it be possible to have the battetys checked and if nessary relaced locally? Also how do I access the house batters on my 36 double slide coach?
The engine, transmission, tires, wheels, and batteries (house and chassis) are not covered under the Nimbus Limited Warranty, but are covered by separate warranties-offered by their specific manufacturers. You have Lifeline AGM 4-D batteries rated at 210 amp hours. You will need to locate a dealer for the Lifeline batteries locally. I have attached a drawing of the subfloor layout for battery location. Need more info on what type of unit you are speaking of?
Have 1996 U295. Interested in mounting a swing out TV in basement. What medium is in between the bays & any electrical to be aware of? thanks
The bay walls are right at one inch thick. There is steel on bottom, top and the ends. There is cross bracing in them also. Use a good magnet or small hammer to locate.
Hello I just bought an immaculate 1979 Foretravel RV and its my first one.I am so excited but it has so many bells and whistles i dont know where to start.I dont know how any thing works.I need manuals can anyone help me with where to start.
There is very little info we have on that vintage of coach. The link below will give you the spec sheet info. You may contact Jennifer in tech. publication; I do not think she has anything electronically. I would check with her and see what's available. Hello All, I just bought a 1992 36' U280 and this is my first motorhome. I know absolutely nothing about it and very little about motorhome systems. The man who sold it to me had bought it from an auction and knew next to nothing about it as well. I am such a "newbe" that I can not figure out how to get water into this coach. The only valve that I can find outside, is a pressure release type, that is screwed onto what I beleive is the water tank inlet and it has a cap on the other end.I removed this little assembly, screwed my water hose onto it and turned on the water but it seems to refuse to allow water to enter the tank. (There is a standard water tap just below this portal that gushes water when I open it. At least at first, now it doesn't) Is this the right place to put water in? Is it a pressurized system that needs to be bled first? how do I do that? I've got a LOT more questions but this is as good a place to start as any. If anyone out there is willing to descend to my rank amateur level of 'Motorhomes for Dummies', please phrase you answer as if you are talking to someone how needs that book. Thanks in advance, I'm getting really thirsty. Scott.
Scott, With your shore water hose hooked up to the city water inlet in the utility bay open the manual fresh tank fill valve which is located inside the coach under the lavatory sink. Once the tank is filled, water will run out of an overflow located in front of the passenger rear wheels. Shut the fill valve under the lavatory sink off. At this point you can wither use shore water or the house water pump as needed.

At what fuel level will my generator shut off due to low fuel?
The fuel pick up for the generator is designed so it will run out of fuel prior to pulling enough fuel out of the tank as not to allow the main engine to run out of fuel. The generator will run out of fuel at approximately 1/4 thru 3/8 of a tank of fuel in the main tank. If you generator runs out of fuel you must find the nearest fuel station as soon as possible.
Can I run the generator while I’m driving?
Yes, you may run your generator while you are traveling down the road in order to run roof airs or other 110vac components.
How long should the generator run to charge my batteries?
Generator run time will depend on battery state of charge. When dry camping, it may be necessary to run the generator up to 6 hours per day. If your Foretravel is equipped with a generator auto start feature and the generator has started automatically, it will run for 4 hours or until the batteries attain a voltage of 13.8 VDC, or which ever occurs first.
I have a 1993 U280 Grand Villa. Generator is a Power Tech PTS 10(MH10FT serial number KEF25DI20458FT). No manual or parts list is with the coach. Heavy smoke for up to 10 minutes at start. Sorry I don't have the motorcade # handy. I am writing for my father regarding his 1992 Foretravel. We borrowed it this weekend and on our trip home were unable to get the generator to start. It would sound like it wanted to start but just would not stay on. There was propane (we even added more thinking maybe it was to low.) Any ideas. Could it be a regulator? The stove would not light either. It was a hot trip home. any help with a diagnosis would be great. Thanks.
Need more info on generator. I would check to make sure the valve at the tank is on and that the regulator vent is not stopped up.
Which battery starts the generator,my engine battery is good but the generator is very sluggish without the boost on.
The generator starts off of the house battery.

How often should I lubricate the air disc brakes on my coach?
Lubrication of the brakes should only be performed by qualified authorized service facility for your particular brake systems. For lubrication instructions, intervals and lubricant specifications see the brake manufacturer’s maintenance manual or your qualified service professional.
I have a 33 ft. 1987 Foretravel Grand Villa and the sewer valve for the grey water is stuck about 2 inches from closing properly. Any suggestions re: how to repair this?
The valve will need replacing or rebuilding. The seal or foreign debris has caused the valve to not close fully. Recommend taking to a local RV repair facility.
I have gel cell batteries on my coach; what maintenance is required?
Most people that are familiar with gel cells forget to check them but they do need periodical visual inspection. Make checking batteries a part of you normal routine, same as checking oil levels and tire pressures. With gel cell batteries there is no need to add water or electrolytes to the battery during its entire life. Visually inspect the battery for anything unusual, check the cable connections making sure they are tight and clean. These connections can become loose over time. Do not store anything directly near or around the batteries.
I just purchased a 1986 cat diesel Foretravel. About every 15 seconds there is a blow-off from the air brakes. Is there anyway to make this less noisy - a muffler of some kind? Thanks.
The unit has an air drier on it and you may be hearing the drier popping off if it has not been serviced recently then I would suggest have this performed.
