Foretravel Technical Q&A
Section: Charger/Inverter

Q: How does the converter/inverter work?
A: The generator or shore power supplies the converter with 110 Volts AC, and the converter makes 12 Volts DC to recharge the batteries. The inverter will take 12 Volts DC from the house batteries to invert to 110 Volts AC in order to operate selected appliances and outlets.

Q: My dash voltage gauge is reading below normal while traveling. What can I do?
A: Start you generator and activate your boost switch. This will allow the house charger to keep the batteries from discharging while traveling until you can safely contact a local repair facility for testing of the alternator charging circuit.
